Gunmen attack another church in Anambra, kill police officer and a motorcycle rider







Exactly a week after suspected assassins attacked members of the St Phillips Catholic Church in Ozubulu, Anambra state killing 13 people and leaving 22 others injured, another attack by some gunmen occurred at the Assemblies of God Church on the Oguta road Onitsha, Anambra State this morning, leaving one policeman and a civilian dead.
According to reports, the gunmen who rode on a motorcycle,  were reportedly coming from an unknown location and then made a stop over in front of the church. On sighting some police officers who were patrolling the area, they opened fire killing one of the officers and made away with his rifle. The gunmen also shot dead a motorcycle operator in the area.
Confirming the attack, the state police commissioner, Garba Umar, said " My men were on patrol near the church when they were attacked by some gunmen. It was not an attack on the church, in the real sense of it”.

16 years old buy has died of a brief illness last Saturday after passing his Post-utme to study Medicine and Surgery at the University of Ilorin. It was gather that he formally applied at that same University of Ilorin and was denied of admission last year when he applied to study Anatomy with the UTME score of 206 immediately he graduated from a private secondary in ILorin Kwara State. He also struggled to make a better score this time around with JAMB score of 327 and passed Post-utme with an excellent score of 72%.  He was survived by 3 siblings, his father, a civil servant(Mr Razak Owolabi) and Mother,a government school teacher(Mrs Aminat Razak). I just taught I should share this story because to me he left an indelible mark in this world, he was a nice, quiet boy and so young.
